1. Information used by the app
Velora Maps uses location permission, if you grant it, to show your position and provide route guidance. Map downloads, saved places, preferences, and other app data can be stored on your device. You can change location permission in iPhone Settings and remove local app data by deleting the app.
2. Online services
Downloading maps, retrieving online content, and requesting other connected features send network requests. Those requests can include technical information such as your IP address, device or app version, and the area or content you requested. Online services use that information to return the requested result and maintain the service. Offline maps remain available without a network connection after they are downloaded.
3. Subscriptions
Apple processes purchases and billing for Velora Pro. We use subscription services, including Adapty and SubsSub, to present plans and determine whether Pro features are available. These services may process purchase status, subscription identifiers, and technical identifiers needed to manage access. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
4. Velora assistant
On supported devices, Velora uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Your request is processed on your device for this feature. If a future version adds an online assistant, this policy will be updated to explain that processing before it is introduced.
5. Analytics, diagnostics, and app configuration
Velora Maps uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app use, including onboarding steps, paywall views, and subscription interactions. Analytics can process app interaction events, an app installation identifier, and device and app information. We use these measurements to understand how features work and improve the app.
Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports, stack traces, app state, and device and operating system information to help us diagnose and fix failures. Firebase Remote Config retrieves app settings, such as the splash screen timing, and may process technical app and installation information needed to deliver configuration. Crashlytics may include recent Analytics events as crash breadcrumbs. We do not put your saved places or route history into these custom Analytics events.
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive information unless it is needed for support.
6. Third-party data and links
Map content is based in part on OpenStreetMap and other data sources. Links to Apple, OpenStreetMap, and other services are governed by their own privacy policies. Their handling of data can differ from ours.
