Frequently Asked Questions

How does Lesonar detect speed cameras?

Lesonar uses GPS data combined with a comprehensive database of speed camera locations. The app continuously monitors your position and alerts you when you approach a known camera location, displaying it on our unique sonar-style interface.

Does Lesonar work without an internet connection?

Yes! Lesonar works completely offline using GPS. You don't need a data connection to track your speed, receive alerts, or view radar locations. An internet connection is only needed for weather updates and downloading the latest camera database.

Will I receive alerts when the app is in the background?

Absolutely! One of Lesonar's key features is background alerts. Once you start the app, it will continue to monitor your location and provide speed camera warnings even when you're using other apps or listening to music.

How accurate is the speedometer?

Lesonar's GPS speedometer is highly accurate, typically within 1-2 mph/kph. The accuracy depends on GPS signal strength, which is best in open areas with clear sky visibility.

How often is the camera database updated?

Our camera database is regularly updated to ensure you have the most current information. The app will automatically download updates when connected to the internet.

Does Lesonar drain my battery?

Lesonar is optimized for battery efficiency. While GPS usage does consume battery, we've implemented power-saving features to minimize impact while maintaining accurate tracking and alerts.
